I have used an Oral B for about fifteen years. This new model Oral B 1000 is terrific. Much more effective to use and my teeth and mouth feel so clean and fresh when I am done.

I replaced an older oral B with this and so far I am very happy with the item. My mouth feels very fresh and clean. I'm sure my periodontist will like the result

I had a Braun toothbrush ~ 10+ years old. A similar model a 3D Professional. Worked great - water started to leak past the seals and became intermittent. Pretty good life - considering used heavily. New one is better in almost all respects. Much less vibration, while cleaning better. battery gauge. Would rather have a white handle with less mouldings (easier to keep clean). Overall, pretty happy and seems like a step up. P&G brands this as Oral-B which are the heads - but the reason I bought this was Braun quality for bottom part and Made in Germany - not Mexico or China.

More RPM than my old PowerBrush. Like the way it slows when I apply to much pressure. Product was shipped quickly and arrived before proposed date.

All the reviews for this product seem to be years old, and I felt it needed a more recent opinion. It appears that Braun may have made changes to the product as well, making some of the comments inapplicable. I have been using an earlier model 2-speed Braun/Oral B (it came with a traveling case, charger, and storage for its second handset as well as brush tips) for the past 10 years or so and have been well pleased with both how my mouth and gums feel, along with comments from dentists saying "Keep doing whatever you're doing..." This model (no model number found) has one speed (clean), a slightly lower noise level, NiMH battery, and a more compact charger - one of the main reasons for its purchase. An indicator light on the handle flashes when charging is happening, and stops when charging is complete. There is also a charge status indicator on the handle. Used the brush for the first time last night, (after charging for the full recommended 16 hours) found the transition from my old brush to be very easy, and I swear this new brush did a better job, even though the speed (labeled as "clean") is less than I normally use. There is a 2-year warranty, and if this brush performs anywhere as well as my old ones, I will have no complaints. So with that expectation, I have given it 5 stars. Further reviews pending...

I know I've had this toothbrush for at least ten years. It's older than my car, my relationship, and my cat. It's the previous navy blue version that just has Braun labeled on the front. The toothbrush is still going strong after all these years. Even at its current age I never take the charger on vacation because the battery life will last me the whole trip. (Even month-long trips.) I figure the toothbrush will eventually die sometime in the next ten years of its life, and I fully expect to buy the exact same toothbrush to last me the next 10+ years of my life.

The Oral-B 7400 makes it easy to brush and keep your teeth clean and your mouth feeling fresh. It is like getting your teeth cleaned at the dentist. The 2 minute timer helps to make sure you are brushing enough and the pressure function, which stops the brush when you are brushing too hard, makes good brushing that much easier. The 7400 is comfortable to hold and easy to clean. It is a quality made product.

I am happy with the way the product works. The pauses at 30 second intervals can be annoying, but their purpose is to inform the user of the time passed while brushing. There may be a way to eliminate the pauses; I will need to read the user's manual more thoroughly. The product equals or exceeds the quality of cleaning I had with a previous Oral-B electric toothbrush. I would recommend other customers purchase this product.

I find this to be a terrific toothbrush...it has everything that the more expensive toothbrushes have! Also has a very handy timer on it. I would highly recommend this and it comes with fast shipping as well. It is a very nice toothbrush and has a nice powerful motor as well. Well worth the price!!

This toothbrush is great. My dentist commented that my teeth were cleaner before he knew I had bought and electric toothbrush. I also always used to brush too hard with a manual toothbrush, but now I feel like my teeth get really clean even if brushing gently. Highly recommended!

Definitely a great brush, you just have to try. I was skeptical, but after trying one I can feel the difference.

The only reason I didn't give it a 5th star is because I changed to the dual brush one (same brand) and it gets my teeth cleaner.

I had a Braun for many years, and after it died of old age purchased another brand (on sale). Never again! The braun is the best for cleaning teeth and massaging gums.
