Waterpik Ultra Dental Water JetReviewsBought this from Amazon for a LOT less and my 11-year-old uses it with no problems. I own a Conair water jet. I decided to buy this one for my extra bathroom. This waterpik has a much stronger "pulse" than the Conair. I love the fact that I saved $10.00 over my local store and paid no shipping! The extra tips are a really nice bonus. I used one of these many years ago, and my dad used it from the day it was invented. It lost its luster some time ago when people set the force too high and damaged their gums. If you start at a very low setting and do not exceed your comfort level, you will have all the water in the tank to thoroughly clean in one fill. This is not a substitute for any other form of oral hygiene. It just makes everything else much easier and efficient after you first remove the food particles. I does not remove plaque, so don't get lazy. I've always taken good care of my teeth but for the past 5 years or so i havent had any dental insurance so I just take extra care on my own. Ive had this puss coming out of one particular place on my bottom tooth for a long time. Ive been so concerned and always brush religiously every day but its just not enough. I started researching and discovered I had a "pocket". Ok... then i was even more afraid of losing my teeth. I continued to research and discovered This Water Pik. I was amazed at the feedback and reviews of this product from people just like me who could not afford a dentist and this product actually saved their teeth ! Well, Im happy to report its doing the same for me and im so happy and relieved. I put a mixture of peroxide, Listerine and water in the basin and then I use the Pik pocket tip to flush out the pocket in my gums and wow... I dont even get puss out of my gums anymore and its healing so fast. My breath is fresher than ever and my gums are so pink and healthy. I recommend this product to anyone that wants healthy teeth that will last them the rest of their life. I know people that have had painful surgery to correct their "pocket" problem and its just amazing to me that if they had known about this product, all the money, time and pain they would have saved themselves just by buying it ! Its absolutely incredible.... dont hesitate! Buy it and use it everyday of your life. You will not be disapointed. I've been using it for about a month now. Love it. My mouth feels so much better and cleaner than with floss. Not that I have any measurable data, but I feel it works better than floss. Definitely get it if you don't like flossing. Waterpik Ultra Cordless Dental Water JetReviewsSince my sister had experienced far less gum inflammation using a water pik, I purchased one. I find it much more pleasant to use than dental floss, but since I just got it, will have to wait until next visit to the dentist to see how it's working. However, I enjoy using it, which it motivating. Good item. Works as expected. Note, it is cordless but too bulky to be ultra portable. Probably I have never had a product with a weak battery. You can recharge 24 hours or more, and then you with luck if you can use 3 times. Oscar Delgado San Jose, Costa Rica Pro: + Does what it says in the box. I use this after I floss my teeth to get rid of food particles. + Portable + Not too pricey Cons: - Might be pretty loud for some (electric toothbrush sound level) - Needs constant recharging - Water reservoir is a bit small. Needs at least one refill. - I just bought this in June and it's not working already! The area where you're supposed to plug in the charger appears to be corroded. However, there's no way that you can dry this area properly after using the unit without the aid of a blow dryer. I have owned a Ultra Cordless Waterpik now since December 2009. It started to act funky about two weeks ago when it began to make a loud chirping noise (which it did not do when I first bought it). So, I called the customer service line to see what I should do/what they could do for me- and I was prepared to have to argue- like you normally would- just to get the minimal amount of respect and for them to believe that their product is actually malfunctioning. (Don't we all know companies like that!) Anyway, it was a snap! I actually got a customer service rep in less than 5 minutes, to whom I explained my problem to, and then I provided her with the serial number and the model number of the machine, and she assured me that it would be no problem, and they would send another one out as a replacement right away! Talk about wonderful customer service---and that also makes me feel really good about spending $50.00 for a dental "gadget" which, although it works really great, if it hadn't been so easy to fix this problem, I might have had mixed feelings about purchasing it in the first place. Waterpik WP100W Ultra Dental Water JetReviewsThe 10 speeds are excellent, the 6 different attachments are highly useful, especially the extra regular pick as you and your significant other can share the thing and not have to use the same pic :) The reservoir is a little on the small side, you get about a good 30 seconds before you run out of water, so if you're anal retentive like I am and must make sure you get in each nook and cranny, you'll want to put this bad boy in the sink and let the water slowly pour into it from the tap. The unit seems to occasionally stop shooting water out and appears to be broken, but I have figured out that it is just air in the pumping mechanism and takes a few seconds to get itself going. If after a few seconds it doesn't start to come out, lightly push on the reservoir, you didn't get the two little black rubber things lined up right or some jazz... when you own the product you'll understand what I'm talking about. Also word of warning, make sure the thing is in your mouth before you turn it on, you'll be wet from head to toe in seconds if you don't. I personally think that the "pause" button they included should be a "go" button, but meh. The way it works right now is you flip the switch and it starts shooting out water, you can press the illustrated big blue button on the hand unit and the water stops... I think it should be the other way around to prevent groggy morning accidents. Judging by all the positive reviews, I must have a dud! Does no one else have a handle leakage problem or is it just expected from this kind of device? I received a new WP-100 yesterday and tried using it. First, it pours water out the handle faster than out the tip. Second, the instructions say if it leaks, the tip is not fully engaged so reinsert it. Well, I re-inserted the tip several times to no avail. So now what? Third, if I try to hold the tip hard against the handle using my finger, the tip keeps changing direction as I cannot hold it in two directions at once. Fourth, I need about two+ reservoirs for one cleaning at the rate water is pouring down my arm, so using Peridex additive will be an expensive proposition as most of it will go straight down the drain. Lastly, why the counterintuitive on-off function on the handle. Press the button and the water STOPS? Wouldn't it be more usual to press the button for the water to START? The design of this device is really poor. Why not try using O-rings to prevent this problem? I bought the Waterpik WP-100 Ultra Dental Water Jet to upgrade from my Interplak Dental Water Jet and eventhough it is twice the price it is well worth it! First of all the jet pulses and gives a much more invigorating and deeper cleanse. Secondly, the cord wraps in own little place in the front whereas on the Interplak it is constantly catching around the handle. Thirdly, this wonderful reservoir makes it possible to add the concentrates designed for such a purpose much better than the interplak whose reservoir has many corners making it impossible to clean and therefor have to replace within a month if you want to use the oral irrigator cleansing solutions in the water. I wish I had splurged in the first place for this WP-100! I got mine in a Waterpik WP-100 Ultra Dental Water Jet and Sensonic SR-1000 Professional Toothbrush Combo Kit for 84.75 including s/h and tax from just4teeth and have seen the same combo kit at Costco for 89 plus tax. Oral health greatly impacts your whole health! Waterpik WP100W is fun and easy to use, albeit noisey. Performs as expected. Tank is difficult to remove so I use an alternate container to add water. Not sure that using a devise like this completely replaces flossing so I alternate. this waterpik is much more compact. Doesn't make as big of mess as the old one. Average Rating:![]() |
